Capitancillo Islet

Capitancillo Islet is a small island southwest of Bogo with beautiful coral Reefs that attracts suba divers around the world.

An amazing sight to behold, the Islet aside from its breathtaking marine life, is as historic as Lapu-Lapu in Mactan, Cebu. According to Aninipoc's article dated Sept. 28, 2009, the Islet is believed to be the trading "Balangay" or a Galleon. It was ice ny Capt. Basilio, where the Islet acquired its name. In folklore stories it was said that a Datu from Mactan cursed the Galleon of Captain. Basilio and was stucked on it's current location and later on become an Islet. Currently, the Islet is one of the best diving spots in Bogo, City. The rich marine life that surrounds it are protected by the Government to maintain its captivating beauty.
